"Where attention goes, energy flows and results show."

"If you are willing to do only what is easy, life will be hard.  But if you are willing to do what's hard, life will be easy."

"Happy people build their inner world; unhappy people blame their other world."

"Successful people have fear, successful people have doubts, and successful people have worries.  They just don't let these feelings stop them."

"The only time you are actually growing is when you are uncomfortable."

The Rap:

Are you tired of being poor spiritually, personally, and professionally? Imagine if it was possible for a single book to assist in changing your destination!

The Relevant:

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind was written by T. Harv Eker in 2005. He shares his personal history and explains how he became rich after making many, many mistakes. Harv describes what changed his mind from a penniless irresponsible man to a millionaire in two and a half years. He then went on to become a multi, multi-millionaire in the decade that followed.

The Run Down:

As the title alludes, failure or success is linked to how we process our thoughts. Harv dives deep into the source of our thoughts right down to the programming of our minds. Our minds have been programmed from every piece of information we have taken in, with all of our senses, since the day we were born. So, many of our actions are not actually thought out at that moment. For example, have you ever been driving, reached your destination, and don't quite remember the process of getting there? Your programmed mind took control, and the resulting actions brought you to your destination. That is the preprogrammed mind. As Harv says, "If you want to change the fruits, you will first have to change the roots." And how did Harv do that?

Harv proceeded with a style involving 22 Declarations to be read daily. A declaration is a statement of energy that flows throughout your body. Declarations send a powerful message to your subconscious mind. They are "intentions" to undergo a particular course of action. Affirmations state something is happening that has not actually happened yet. Our minds know this is false and doesn't always sit right. This is the reason Harv chose declarations over affirmations.

Harv also discussed that your income can only grow to the extent you do. So, he asks, "What do you have your financial thermostat set for?" Is this where you really want to go? Or perhaps the question is, is this where you want to stay? We need to retrain our minds to respond supportively to where we want to be regarding money and success. Harv stated that our programming determines our thoughts; our thoughts determine our feelings; our feelings determine our actions. Harv provides many ideas, thoughts, suggestions, statements, and exercises to exemplify what he did to become a self-made millionaire in just two and a half years.
